The Event

Alive & Thrive Wyandotte County is excited to hold its 2nd Annual “Community Healing Conference: Expanding Our Reach.” This conference is designed to advance our vision of preventing trauma and promoting healing in Wyandotte County.

The conference will consist of interactive workshops and speakers. Our goal for the conference is to learn how we can draw from our community’s strengths to build a healthier, safer, and more resilient Wyandotte County.

How You Can Help

Your sponsorship of this event will help fund at least one of three core strategies we use to support grassroots-driven efforts to prevent and heal from trauma:

  • Community Projects: Alive & Thrive provides mini-grants for projects lead by community members that aim to promote healing and resilience. The conference will be designed, in part, to solicit applications for these grants.
  • Trainings: Alive & Thrive hosts trainings for Wyandotte County residents and employees to help build a “trauma-informed” community.
  • Events: Alive & Thrive hosts events (like the Community Healing Conference) that expand our network and inspire others to take actions that promote healing from trauma.

Alive & Thrive Wyandotte County is a network of organizations and individuals that stimulates and supports grassroots-driven actions to help communities prevent and heal from trauma. We serve as a vehicle for Wyandotte County residents and grassroots organizations to express their perspectives about how to respond to and heal from trauma in their communities.
