A Healthy and Resilient Start to 2020

(February 2020)  January marked a pivotal month in our journey toward building a healthy and resilient Wyandotte County. That’s when we completed our first-ever Community Facilitator Workshop. Designed to prepare  community partners for taking trauma-awareness and resilience trainings into their communities, the 5-day workshop attracted 14 participants representing 10 agencies. We can’t thank them enough for taking time out of their busy schedules to help us launch  this important work.

As Winter/Spring 2020 progresses, Alive & Thrive will be scheduling trauma awareness and resilience trainings that our new facilitators will lead. These trainings will serve as a vehicle for community members to create projects that aim to build a safer, healthier, and more resilient Wyandotte County.
